IWD 2018: Robyn Kemmis Scholarship Fundraiser
8 March, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm$16.91 – $32.74
SYD Urbanistas in association with UTS Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion is again celebrating International Women’s Day with a fundraiser for the Robyn Kemmis Scholarship.
The IWD 2018 theme is ‘Pressing for Progress and challenging stereotypes and bias’ and we have pulled together a fantastic panel of women to explore this theme bringing their own expertise and experience to the conversation:
– Verity Firth (Executive Director, Social Justice UTS)
– Professor Davina Cooper (Professor of Law and Political Theory at Kings College London)
– Councillor Jess Miller (Deputy Lord Mayor, City of Sydney)
– Kirsten McDonald (Associate Principal International Development, Arup)
Panel discussion starts at 6.30pm followed by social drinks from 7.30pm
The idea is to celebrate Robyn’s legacy, who was a champion for women, the Vice-Chancellor of Administration UTS and former Deputy Mayor at the City of Sydney who died suddenly at the end of 2015…someone who was always ‘Pressing for Progress’.
Importantly 100% of your ticket price will go directly to the scholarship fund (excl. booking fee)
About the Robyn Kemmis Scholarship

The scholarship will be administered by the Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning at UTS. The scholarship funds ($15,000 a year for three years) will be used to contribute to student fees and academic expenses and to assist with the costs of transport and accommodation.
