Masterclass: Alternate notions for Indigenous development

5 September @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Indigenous Land and Justice Research Hub Masterclass will discuss readings related to alternate notions of development on Aboriginal lands.

About this Event

Why is it that any alternate notion of development gains no traction in settler colonial Australia?

This masterclass is open for early career or postgrad Indigenous scholars and allies working in the area of Indigenous land justice, economy and polity. Provided readings for the discussion will explore alternate methods of development for Aboriginal people and whether/to what extent these alternate paradigms are hindered by colonial orthodoxy present in the current political and social landscape.

Attendees will be provided with several short readings that will be discussed as a group and attendees are also invited to make a short presentation of their work to the group for further discussion.
