For Film’s Sake: forum at UTS

Part think tank, part feminist hack, part talking circle – For Film’s Sake is bringing together some of the strongest minds across three generations to uncover what has and hasn’t happened to move women forward in the film industry.

#MeToo, NOW and Time’s Up may have been watershed moments for some… but these issues in the film industry are not new.
In 1987, an Australian report highlighted the pervasive barriers to women entering the industry and issued strong warnings as to what would happen if left unaddressed.

With the 1987 Report’s original consultant Eva Cox, Indigenous scholar and academic Tess Ryan (Melbourne Uni), author of Eggshell Skull and founding editor of Hot Chicks with Big Brains Bri Lee, emerging lawyer Tina Huang and chaired by Professor Deb Verhoeven UTS.

You can secure your free ticket here. The event runs from 7:00pm until 8:30pm, with drinks to follow.

We look forward to seeing you on the night.
